Models Own & Lola Barcelona

Yesterday was the day all students, long for; virtually counting it down, it was a student loan instalment, which means one thing...new nail polishes. So while I'm waiting for my deliveries, I decided to review two of my newest products.

1. Models Own - Nude Icing
2. Lola Barcelona - Rambla

Models Own Nude Icing
As we all know, nudes and beiges are definitely an in colour this season. As I mentioned in an early post (here), I recently went into a Models Own bottle shop, where a nude polish just had to enter my basket.

For being a nude I'm really impressed with the colour of the polish, after two coats full coverage is obtained. The brush is so easy to manoeuvre, that my nail was covered within two strokes. At first I wasn't too sure on the colour as I didn't know if it was right for my skin tone, but I've concluded I absolutely love it. Even though it's not a bright summer colour, I still think this will be worn many times for the next few months; it will pretty much go with any outfit, day or night.

Lola Barcelona
Well, welcome a brand I'd never heard of. Thanks to Birchbox, I received this little Birchbox exclusive nail polish in the post this month. This is a colour everyone will be familiar with this summer, almost a coral it is up there with the best of them.

Lola Barcelona polishes are made with diamond dust which is supposedly meant to provide an extra strength finish, meaning a top coat can be skipped if you fancy! The brush is designed to cover the nail in one easy swipe.

Two coats is suitable for this colour, and I'm really impressed with the formula. Other colours will definitely be on my wishlist.

Have you got any little treats in the post this month?
