Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Holy mother of skin care. I think it's been said many times (like here...) that I'm pretty rubbish of keeping to a skin care routine, but this is something that I just can't resist.
Liz Earle has knocked it out of the park with this product, and there's really nothing else I can compare it too.
Firstly, Liz Earle is a beauty brand that focuses on skin care, aiming to create products that work on every skin type (to good to be true right?!) using the finest natural quality ingredients.

So, Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser?
I received this in my BirchBox many moons ago, it got put in my 'skin care' box that never gets opened, and left unloved. Until I started seeing so many positive reviews about a brand that sounded so familiar; back out of the box it came to see what all of the fuss was about.

What does it claim to do?
This product claims to remove daily grime and makeup to leave all skin types clean, soft and radiant. It can be used morning or night on any skin type using two phases. Phase one is cleansing which is the removal of makeup. Then onto phase two: polishing which is using the muslin cloth for the removal of dead skin cells.

Contains cleanser & 2 x muslin cloths.

How to use?
Unlike other skin care products, this is really simple and easy to use, meaning it won't be a phase that you give up on not long after.
Step 1: Massage the polish onto dry skin, all over face and neck.
Step 2: Rinse the muslin cloth in hot water and use to polish off the cleanser.
It's recommended to then splash your face with cool water afterwards. It's absolutely easy peasy.

Thoughts
Initially, I found it very bizarre that the polish appears very much a cream base, but applies to the skin very light. This has the potential to be my most favourite skin care product to date and it seems very unlikely to change anytime soon. Based on personal use, recommendations and reviews, the claim of working for any skin type seems to be true. I personally feel like this leaves my face much cleaner than in comparison to Micellar Water, I can't believe I actually said it. However, for best results it should be used at least once a day and that could end up being pretty costly. I'm starting to suspect that most favourable skin care products come with a large price tag, but definitely, for now, this has to be an item I would buy again!

  1. I'm awful at sticking to a skincare routine, I'll see an improvement and then not have time to continue with it. I'm currently finding that my micellar water isn't quite cutting it so maybe I will have to treat myself soon!

    1. It's one thing I'm really trying to work at as I'm always told I will regret it once I start ageing! I find the micellar water is good to a degree, but it should never be used alone to remove makeup!
If you can find a sample online that's probably your best bet to see if you'll end up using it often or not! Let me know how you get on! x

  2. I haven't tried this yet but I've heard so many people rave about it I feel like I have to! At the moment, I'm loving the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - I love it.

    1. Birchbox is definitely a great way to try new products! Unfortunately it got to the point where there was more stuff I wouldn't use than I would - so I stopped my subscription. Ah, after micellar water is a great idea, I'll definitely give it a try! xx
