REVIEW | L'OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO-GLOW FOUNDATION

I've always been a matte finish foundation gal for as long as I can remember. Recently, I have found myself staying away from completely matte foundations and leaning toward a more glowing, demi-matte finish. I find this type of foundation really stops my face looking dull throughout the day and also avoids any cakey situations.

I think I'm late on the band-wagon on the hype of this foundation. I picked it up a while ago in my American haul and have been testing it out since. It's so frustrating that this isn't out in the UK yet, like L'Oreal, we wanna try all these goodies too!

The claims of this foundation suggest that it is long-lasting (up to 24hr wear), glowing foundation, which is lightweight and has medium coverage. The foundation also included SPF which is also a huge bonus, but you definitely don't need to worry about the flashback!

I must say, L'Oreal have pretty much hit the nail on the head with the claims on this foundation. It does feel incredibly lightweight to wear; my skin never feels suffocated - another bonus of switching from matte finishes! I get rather rosy cheeks and I do think this product has enough coverage which keeps me happy. I usually just build up the layer on my cheek which is easily done.

I love the application and finish of this foundation when using a beauty blender, I feel like you lose the glowing finish with a brush. It's not overly dewy which means you don't have to worry about your face looking 'wet' thank god because this is my worst nightmare. It blends so effortlessly and I've not had any problems applying different types of concealer or cream products on top of this foundation.

Picking a shade is slightly tricking and I think this shade is just about right for me so that is something to be wearing of; there isn't a huge amount of swatches online using different skin tones so that would be one thing to be wary of when ordering online. I'm usually under the beige category in foundations and this is nearly on the edge of being too dark for me. However, a huge plus of the foundation is that I haven't noticed any oxidation which is ideal because there's nothing worse than your foundation gradually getting darker throughout the day and you no longer match your neck!

The only other downside to the foundation has to be the wear time; the dewy finish means the product transfers and rubs away easily, which will be a nightmare if you're the kind of person who touches their face a lot. Personally, I don't think you can get 24hr wear out of this and sometimes I'm lucky if it lasts me a full working day!

Have you tried this foundation - what did you think?
