Testing Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks & More.

Kat Von D is a brand that we've all been wanting to try for a while but never actually get round to purchasing. My Dad's girlfriend recently went to Florida so what better way to send her off than with my shopping list. Along with the most beautiful Tarte palette which I recently reviewed; I thought this would be a good time to start for testing KVD makeup products. At this point, by the way, I'm still so jealous she got to visit Sephora and I'm still yet to do so (this will all change come December!). However, as we all now know Kat Von D is now available at Debenhams so it's really easy for you guys to get your hands on the products.

My monthly beauty subscription bag (explained in this post) also did a month where you could get your hands on some KVD sample sized products.

So here's what I picked up:

Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks, Studded Kiss and Ink Eyeliner
Ink Eyeliner,Outlaw, Double Dare, Lolita 2 and Magick

Swatches are modelled by my lovely friend Kate!

Outlaw is described as a brick red and this really appealed to me because I do not own many bright red lip colours. My favourite red is by L'Oreal but it is an actual lipstick so I wanted a similar colour as a liquid lipstick.

Double Dare is described as a cocoa blush, yet again sticking to the nude/brown/pinky theme. I'm not going to lie, this was a spur of the moment decision and before she had even returned home I was so sure I was going to completely fall in love with Lolita 2 and this was going to be banished to the sidelines. But, boy was I wrong. Out of  the two, this is most definitely my favourite.

Lolita 2 is described as a warm terracotta nude which I think is what caught my attention many moons ago as I was pining over it on Pinterest - I was yet to own a nude that was slightly more brown than pink.

Magick is part of the studded lipstick range and although the colour screams my name, the formula does not appear to last very long on me at all. The longevity of the formula on me really puts me off purchasing the full sized product which leaves me super disappointed!

After trying these products, I definitely would like to try out more of the Kat Von D range. My next purchase would definitely have to be the eyeshadow palette as I'm literally obsessed with eyeshadow palettes right now - plus have you seen it? It is out of this world.

Finally, I have to say huge thanks to my friend Beth who this post is in collaboration with. She took these beautiful photos and a few more photos for some other posts soon to come.
