FAVES | JANUARY 2018

I've not really done a favourites post in quite a long time, but I have recently collected a lot of new beauty products, especially over the Christmas period and I now have lots of goodies to share with you that I have been loving over the past few months.

January Favourites 2018 | The Beauty is a Beast

I'm not going to lie, I'm a nightmare for being lazy and just removing my makeup with baby wipes, however, I've been trying to take much better care of my skin lately and I've been loving the combination of the Magnitone Wipeout Cleansing Cloth with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser & the Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser. 2018 is definitely the year to embrace double cleansing; cleansing just once does not get all the daily grime off your face. I really love that the cloth can be reused and all you need to do it pop it in the wash - I have two so I'm never without one!

I've not really been using much in term of skin care or body products but I can't put down my Sol De Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum, I'm absolutely in love with the scent of this product that it's making me want to splurge on a ridiculously priced shower gel just so I can smell like this all the time. Winter has been a killer lately with the dark mornings and nights, but I always feel so much better with a tan which is why the Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk has been my best friend lately. It doesn't smell as appealing as the instant tan but builds up lovely on the skin and gives a nice healthy looking glow.

This one comes as no surprise as I raved about it in my review, late 2017 but I haven't put down The Ordinary Coverage Foundation since I purchased it and already have a back up in my drawer as well. It's always a must-have in my travel makeup bag too! I won't bore you with why I love it all over again, but you can read my review here

The last few months have been all about the glow for me. I was sick of looking at my makeup after a day at work and just seeing tired, dull looking skin. After seeing so many people talk about different variations of shimmer bronzers, I decided to pick up the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in Golden Days and I haven't looked back. I pretty much apply it every day over my bronzer and it gives such a healthy glow to the skin. It stops my face looking matte and flat and now I'm 100% converted into a shimmer bronzer fan. I love to pair this look with a very natural, flattering highlight to help keep the skin looking perky, which is why I highly recommend the Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow.

I try so many new pieces in terms of eyeshadow products so I could go on for ages about which have been my favourites, but the standouts have to be the Dose of Colors Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette and the Morphe Liquid Eyeshadow in Copper. The Dose of Colors palette has such an incredibly creamy texture that makes them incredibly pigmented and easy to blend. I surprisingly love the fact that the palette contains only matte eyeshadows and the small design makes it perfect for travelling and creating a very quick look. I'm going to probably touch on cream eyeshadows a lot this year as I'm 100% converted but I absolutely love the formula of the Morphe Shadows and it pairs so perfectly the with Dose of Colors palette to take an everyday makeup look to a nighttime glam look!

Lastly, it wouldn't be a favourites post if I didn't include any nail polishes. Ever since I started to purchase KL Polish it's been the brand of polish that I'm always reaching for. My favourite shades are St Clair & Aquarius.
