I spend a lot of my time browsing the ‘New Arrivals’ sections of beauty websites and recently CRAYOLA has just dropped a line of makeup available at ASOS.

I’m going to put it out there straight away that although I think it’s a line which is very different to anything in the beauty industry, nothing really from the collection is jumping out at me (apart from the warm-toned palettes of course - but I have enough of these to last me a lifetime). The range is full of colour and definitely aimed at those who like to experiment with colour, or the perfect products for bold, statement makeup! So I think I’d be reluctant to purchase anything from the line.

Crayola has released a 58 piece makeup collection exclusively with an ASOS, which is pretty inclusive with over 90 shades to choose from while being vegan and cruelty-free!

The collection contains:
- Crayon highlighters in 4 shades ranging from fair to deep
- Cheek and Lip Crayons (also available in trio sets) which can be used on the eyes, face, and lips
- Water-resistant mascara designed to add volume to your lashes in Black and Blue
- Eyeshadow palettes, also available in 4 colour schemes having a mix of matte and metallic shades included
- Brush and Pencil case set, which contains 2 face and 2 eye brushes
- Customisable Lip Palette which contains 10 shades which you can wear alone or mix together to create your perfect shape

The packaging is cute and definitely a throwback to your childhood and for that I think it will peak a lot of interest for us makeup fiends, using products that are full of nostalgia. The packaging follows the same style as they’re arts and crafts range, for example, eyeliners are shaped like crayons.

Pricing definitely ranges towards the higher end of the drugstore and gives me similar feels to that of Nyx Cosmetics or Pixi Beauty, with a cheek and face pencil costing £9 and a face palette costing £18. However, with ASOS, you can also use your student discount and if you’re a premier customer you will have free next day delivery!

I’m definitely interested in seeing what Crayola release next as part of this line! Do you think you'll be picking anything up?
