PROJECT 10 PAN | JANUARY 2021

After watching Emma from @EmmasRectangle for the last year carry out her project 10 pan, I decided that this year I really want to give it a try. I have a lot of makeup that's been opened but I never finish them up and I find that I'm quite an impulse buyer influenced by social media so I thought this would be a good challenge for me to fall back in love with my collection and also to shop a bit smarter with my purchases.

Just in case you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, Project 10 Pan is where you choose 10 beauty products and you aren't able to purchase any more products until you have used up your original 10. Like Emma, I am going to keep replacing any empties so that I always have 10 items in the collection, but I can begin to purchase items as soon as the original 10 are used up.

I tried to pick a collection of skincare and beauty items but I ended up doubling up one of the items.

Project 10 Pan - January 2021 - Collection of 10 beauty items

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist - Limited Edition - £22

I think I got this in an advent calendar in 2020, or maybe it was a glossybox? but I've just never reached for it. I don't really like the mist or the scent so we will see if this will change my mind.

Nip + Fab Vitamin C Serum Fix - £19.95

I really like this serum, it smells incredible, but it's just a product where I have purchased multiple different serums rather than using up what I have before getting a new one.

Glow Hub Purifying Blueberry & Black Tea Super Serum - £12

Glowhub is a brand that I only discovered in 2020 and I actually love their products - again, it's just that newer products meant that I stopped using this serum.

ESPA 24 Hour Replenishing Moisturiser - £45

This was from the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar in 2020 - but the moisturiser is quite expensive and I had opened it and used it initially to see if I would use it. I don't really like the scent of the product but I'm interested in seeing if it's worth the money.

Nabla Close Up Concealer - £15.50

There's not a huge amount left in this concealer, I've had to take the stopper out to finish it up - but I do absolutely love this concealer, I think it's just a bit too light for me. Definitely feel like this topped the Tarte Shape Tape for me but hopefully will continue to love it.

Wet n Wild Pressed Power - £4.49

As you can see I have already hit pan on this product, but I have a lot of product left to use. It is a bit dark for me when I'm pale, but I definitely think I would repurchase in a lighter/translucent shade.

Wet N Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner in Bare to Commit - £3.99

I have really fallen out of love with lip products in 2020, so I decided to put in a lip liner to encourage me to get back into it. I love the texture and how creamy this is because I feel like it doesn't drag my lips.

Sigma Warm Neutrals Eyeshadow Palettes - £31.95

I have quite a few eyeshadow palettes so I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to add one to this challenge - my aim is to hit pan on at least 4 shades which would mean I have used up 1/3 of the palette.

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder - £35

I originally bought this off a lady from depop because I wanted to check the shade and if I'd actually use it before I invested in a brand new one, but apparently, 2020 became the year I swapped contour for shimmery bronzers so I'm hoping to use this up as well!

Pixi Blush Duo in Peach Honey - £18

I don't use this as a blush because it's so shimmery, but I love it as a highlighter so that's what I tend to use it for. I can already see I'm hitting pan on this, but I do think a highlighter is going to be tricky to use up because you only need a little bit each time.

I will probably just write up new posts as and when I use up and replace any products as opposed to keeping it on a schedule.

  1. Project Pans are so fun, I used to do these all the time when my collection was a lot bigger! Can't wait to see some updates as to how you get on with it! Good luck!
